Step into the world of Re:Play, where passion for gaming and esports converge with boundless opportunities for growth and exploration. Over two weekends last summer (2023), *SCAPE, a non-profit organization that supports youth, talent and leadership development, hosted its inaugural esports and gaming career exploration program in Singapore. Re:Play invited youth from all walks of life to uncover the hidden potential within the industry. The event was a resounding success, leaving participants inspired, informed, and ready to embrace a world of possibilities. 

Re:Play was designed to empower young gamers and esports enthusiasts to explore a plethora of avenues within the industry. The program provided a comprehensive platform that catered to the interests and aspirations of participants. Whether they were aspiring game developers, esports athletes, content creators, or simply passionate about gaming, Re:Play had something in store for everyone. 

The event agenda featured a mix of interactive workshops, engaging panel discussions, thought-provoking talks by industry veterans, game jam and showcase of innovative game prototypes developed by youth. Participants had the opportunity to delve into various aspects of game development, esports careers, content creation, and more. From honing practical skills to gaining insights into the latest trends, Re:Play's content was designed to ignite the spark of curiosity and passion within the attendees. 

The response to Re:Play was overwhelmingly positive. Participants were not only impressed by the diverse range of topics covered but also by the caliber of industry experts and trainers who generously shared their knowledge and experiences. 

One attendee exclaimed, "The panel talks were great, offering valuable insights from industry experts. I love the casual atmosphere in this safe space. Please tell us more about the industry in such a manner!" 

Another participant remarked, "Re:Play has opened my eyes to the vast possibilities in the gaming industry. I have learnt a lot from the speaker and I believe it will build into my research project towards game development." 

One of the highlights of Re:Play was the collaboration with the Network of Academic and Scholastic Esports Federation (NASEF). The partnership brought NASEF's expertise in esports education to the program, enriching the learning experience for aspiring gamers. 

NASEF's involvement offered participants a unique blend of practical skills and academic knowledge, bridging the gap between passion and professionalism. The collaboration further cemented Re:Play's commitment to empowering youths with the right resources and opportunities to succeed in the gaming and esports industry. 

Re:Play has left an indelible mark on its participants, igniting a newfound sense of purpose and direction in the world of gaming and esports. As the programme comes to a close, the attendees embark on their respective journeys, equipped with knowledge, passion, and the determination to make their dreams a reality.
