Friday Community Game Nights: FREE!

esports events Jan 16, 2023

Hey students—ready to play some games and hang out online with other esports enthusiasts?

NASEF Community Leaders J.D. Williams and Tyler Hahn are hosting free weekly Community Game Nights. Details on how to join are found here. In January 2023, sign up and play Fall Guys or Fortnite online on Friday nights. The lobby will open for registration at 6:45 PM MST. Registration will close at 7 PM and the game will begin. Community Game Nights are streamed at www.twitch.tv/LaveenEsports, with a moderated chat and emote only chat.

Games played throughout the year include Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League.

About Fortnite: Battle Royale

The game allows up to 100 people to participate in a match together. Players are dropped onto the game map and must compete to be the last one standing. During the game, players collect weapons, build safe structures, and try to avoid the Storm that damages all players outside of a safe zone.

About Fall Guys

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a downloadable online multiplayer battle royale-style party game for the PlayStation 4 and Windows PCs. Players compete against up to 59 other competitors in a series of mini-games, avoiding elimination and trying to earn the top spot as last Fall Guy.

About Rocket League

Rocket League is a downloadable soccer game with cars. Players drive their choice of vehicles: dune buggies, sports cars, trucks, and more, working to knock a giant soccer ball into the goal.

Game Ratings

Parents, please consider the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) ratings for each of the games to decide if the titles being played are appropriate for your child.

Fortnite - Rated T for Teen

Fall Guys - Rated E for Everyone

Rocket League - Rated E for Everyone

Why join game night?

NASEF is on a mission to provide opportunities for all students to use esports as a platform to develop STEAM-based skills like communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. As kids play their favorite games, they develop all these skills. In this environment, they’ll also be meeting like-minded friends from across the country.

Mr. Williams and Mr. Hahn oversee the Game Nights and ensures an atmosphere that reinforces NASEF’s core values:

  • Learning
  • Opportunity
  • Community
  • Diversity
  • Respect
