NASEF Members to Receive Free Esports Coaching from Cloud9 Training Grounds

Partnership between North America Scholastic Esports Federation and Cloud9 helps student players improve game and life skills through free esports coaching; kick-off Masterclass in Rocket League to be held October 18 in NASEF’s Discord

(Atlanta, GA – October 14, 2021) – NASEF (North America Scholastic Esports Federation) and Cloud9 Training Grounds are partnering to offer free coaching by top-ranked players and leaders to student esports players through online monthly masterclasses. Students playing popular esports games like Rocket League, Valorant, and League of Legends will learn specific strategies to improve their gameplay, coupled with a foundation in social-emotional development that will benefit all aspects of their lives.

NASEF’s scholastic esports programs leverage massive youth interest in esports for meaningful education that blends play and learning. Cloud9 is one of the world’s premier esports organizations with more than a dozen championship titles in the most popular games. Cloud9 focuses on performance driven by hard work, commitment, wellness, and love of the game.

Through this partnership, Cloud9 will offer free monthly C9 Training Grounds Masterclasses for NASEF member high schools. The first Masterclass will focus on Rocket League. It will be held on October 18th at 5:00 pm Pacific Time. NASEF members can join through the NASEF Community Discord.

Cloud9 will also be offering discounted seasonal training camps to all NASEF high school esports club and team members. Participating teams will receive instruction from top-ranked players, practice, and coaching from esports experts and Cloud9’s Training Grounds staff for 4-6 hours/week after school over 6 weeks. Team general managers will also receive professional development on esports team coaching. Applications are open for Winter training camps.
