Esports on Ice: Ducks NHL19 Scholastic Tournament Finals
Apr 05, 2019In a quest to marry the worlds of esports and sports, the North America Scholastic Esports Federation partnered with the Anaheim Ducks and the Anaheim Ducks Foundation for the Southern California Ducks NHL19 Xbox Tournament, whose finals were held on Saturday, March 30 at the Esports Arena Orange County!
This past weekend, the season ended with everyone decked out in black, orange and gold. As the competitors prepared to play their final games, Ducks fans from across SoCal arrived for the official watch party for the Ducks’ away game against the Edmonton Olliers (spoiler alert: Ducks won, 5-1!).
On top of the virtual and physical hockey play, the event included a special meet and greet with beloved Twitch streamer Leslie “Fuslie” Fu, giveaways, food trucks, an awards showcase, and everyone’s favorite mascot, Wild Wing!
