Hitmarker and NASEF Team Up

NASEF's Career Pathways page will detail education paths for esports jobs, offer deep insights into careers, and includes a live jobs feed from Hitmarker

(NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE, ENGLAND | Wednesday 3rd June 2020) - Hitmarker, the world’s largest video game jobs platform, and the North America Scholastic Esports Federation (NASEF), a not-for-profit organization committed to providing opportunities for all students to use esports as a platform to acquire STEM-based skills, have signed an agreement that aims to positively impact the lives and career education of youths in Canada, Mexico, and the United States of America.

The North America Scholastic Esports Federation leverages esports as a platform for students to do much more than play video games competitively. NASEF leverages esports as a way to teach young people STEM skills and help them develop personally and emotionally. Giving students insight into the many career opportunities in the esports industry forms a large part of that, which makes Hitmarker, the primary destination for esports job opportunities online, a natural partner.

The partnership will see Hitmarker integrating two bespoke feeds of esports jobs into the NASEF website, one containing active paid internships for students to apply to immediately and another containing longer-term career opportunities to both inform and inspire them. These feeds will be an important element of the Career Pathways page on NASEF’s site, a valuable resource for students, encompassing information on education and careers in the esports world.

Hitmarker will also conduct resume and cover letter reviews for NASEF students to improve their chances of successful job applications, offer social media spotlights to promote their skills to the wider industry, procure mentorship opportunities with professionals so that they can learn from the best, and create bespoke educational content to inform them about job types and career paths in esports.

Additionally, Hitmarker will share its proprietary data with NASEF for the betterment of the Federation’s own educational content, and senior members of the Hitmarker team will be invited to speak at Federation events and to take part in one-to-one sessions with students on the NASEF Advisory Board.

“After three years of hard work to establish Hitmarker, we’re finally in a position to start giving back to the industry, and are therefore delighted to announce NASEF as our first not-for-profit partner,” commented Richard Huggan, Managing Director of Hitmarker. “We’re admirers of NASEF and strong believers in their mission and we fully recognize the power of esports in education. As such, we look forward to working with them closely for the benefit of young people across North America.”

“Students engaged in NASEF programs learn and practice skills for careers within the high-growth esports ecosystem and related industries. This partnership with Hitmarker will help them see how many companies are hiring and for what jobs so they can prepare for their future,” added Gerald Solomon, Executive Director of the Samueli Foundation and Founder of NASEF. “It will also give them a place to find internships so they can start on their career trajectory right now. What an exciting time for these high schoolers!”
