Sep 02, 2025
Atlanta, September 2, 2025 – The Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) announced a strategic partnership with the United States Esports Federation (USEF.gg) to strengthen collaboration between Asia and the United States in advancing, promoting, and developing esports through premier events, educational initiatives, and development programs.
NASEF (the Network of Academic and Scholastic Esports Federations) and USEF.gg both operate under the umbrella of the 501(c)3 non-profit World Wide Scholastic Esports Foundation. USEF.gg, recognized for its history in youth engagement and global operations with affiliates in 34 countries, will work alongside AESF to foster deeper international collaboration and strengthen the esports ecosystem across both regions.
The partnership was formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by AESF President Mr. Santi Lothong and USEF President Mr. Gerald Solomon on Monday. The agreement outlines cooperation in several key areas, including the co-development of cross-border esports activities between Asia and the United States, the establishment of education initiatives such as academic exchanges and certification programs for athletes and students, and the enhancement of professional development for coaches, referees, and administrators. Both Federations have also committed to strengthening governance structures and aligning their efforts with the Olympic Movement to ensure the sustainable growth of esports globally.
AESF President Mr. Santi Lothong welcomed the partnership, highlighting its significance as AESF’s first collaboration with USEF.gg. He remarked, “We are confident this partnership will allow both Federations to learn greatly from one another. The United States has a well-established esports ecosystem that Asia can draw inspiration from, while Asia brings valuable experience from the esports Olympic movement, particularly as esports prepares for its second consecutive inclusion at the 20thAsian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.”
“AESF has clearly demonstrated its leadership as the gold standard in esports in Asia,” said Gerald Solomon, USEF.gg President. “USEF is honored to partner with them to share our respective expertise. This partnership will benefit the entire esports ecosystem ranging from the individual to the community, to member Federations and countries. The opportunities to learn and grow together are endless and exciting.”
