Dr. Chen is a Pediatric Pulmonologist at Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital Long Beach and recently graduated her fellowship just prior to starting the Academy.

She obtained her medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University and completed both her pediatric residency and pediatric pulmonary fellowship at the University of California, Irvine. She is also Clinical Assistant Professor at UCI and does exercise research for pediatric cystic fibrosis patients, with her current project looking into the impact of tele-exercise and tele-rehabilitation in CF patients. A big believer in using digital health and the quantified self to advance medicine, Dr. Chen is also currently pursuing a data science degree to become a physician-data scientist in order to better understand that relationship.
