The North America Scholastic Esports Federation (NASEF) and  Ultimate Gaming Championship (UGC) are collaborating to provide free scholastic esports competition opportunities for students and educators in the 2022-2023 academic year.  We will be working closely with state affiliates and partners to create an experience that is exciting for the community and also provides equitable and inclusive opportunities for everyone to game, grow, learn, and lead together.

NASEF Finals is only open to the United States.

Knockout City

Knockout City is a one-of-a-kind, action-packed take on everyone’s favorite recess pastime. But it’s not dodgeball – it’s DODGEBRAWL! Knockout City blends elements of fighting games, third-person shooters, and platform action to create an all-new arena battler that’s age-appropriate, inclusive, and incredibly skillful at high levels of play. All coaches are encouraged to complete the FREE Knockout City Coaching Academy offered here.

Rocket League

Rocket League is a vehicle soccer game developed by Psyonix. A high-powered hybrid of arcade-style soccer and vehicular mayhem.

Valorant is a free-to-play first-person hero shooter developed by Riot. A tactical shooter filled with different agents that have their own unique abilities and mechanics.

How to register

Teams will register and compete in one of four regions (Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern) throughout qualifiers. Please register in the region with the start times that work best for you.

You do NOT have to register in the time zone you are located in, provided the start times are better for your team. Multiple teams per school site are permitted, however only ONE team from each site will advance to the playoffs.

Step 1: Complete this google form. This is a guided process for new and experienced teams.

Step 2: Go to our competition website: NASEF Esports - Powered by UGC.

Step 3: Create an account if you do not have one or login to your account. 

Step 3: Click on community.

Step 4: Click on NASEF Finals.

Step 5: Register in the region (Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern) you plan to play in.
