How to unblock ports to connect to the Epic Games Launcher

If you’re experiencing connection issues, try unblocking the following ports: 80, 433, 443, 3478, 3479, 5060, 5062, 5222, 6250, and 12000-65000.

For Windows:

  1. Click Start.
  2. Type Control Panel and press Enter.
  3. Click System and Security.
  4. Click Windows Firewall.
  5. Select Advanced settings, and then select Inbound Rules in the left pane.
  6. Right-click Inbound Rules, and then select New Rule.
  7. Select Port, and then click Next.
  8. Select TCP as the protocol to apply the rule.
  9. Select Specific Local Ports, add all the above ports, and then click Next.
  10. Select Allow the connection.
  11. Leave Domain, Private, and Public checked to apply the rule to all types of networks.
  12. Name the rule something meaningful (i.e. Epic Games Launcher), and then click Finish.

Note: The above steps are for Windows 10 and may vary on other versions.

For Mac:

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Open Security & Privacy.
  3. Open Firewall.
  4. Open Firewall Options.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Choose the Epic Games Launcher from the Applications folder and click Add.
  7. Ensure that the option next to the application is set to Allow incoming connections.

For PC:

  • Rocket League will be available for free on the Epic Games Store starting September 23

For Console:

  • Rocket League will not require Playstation Plus or Nintendo Switch Online to play online multiplayer once free-to-play goes live
  • Rocket League will still require Xbox Live Gold to play online player once free-to-play goes liv
