My name is David Amaro Ruiz, an educator and student from México born and raised, my background comes from sports, from a young age I evolved from aspiring athlete to coach in different disciplines which gave me my first opportunity to learn and apply that knowledge to help others, discovering a passion of mine early on, as such graduated as an administrator and director of sport enterprises with the idea of promoting sports and the values that come from it as a career path. Unexpectedly, due to the ways life works, I found myself in the world of Esports, developing communities and learning about them and the potential that they show when it comes to sharing ideas and supporting each other, working with Anahuac Esports and NASEF fellows program I hope to learn as much as I can, and give back to the wonderful world of scholastic Esports.

Why did you become a NASEF Scholastic Fellow?

I have an opportunity to become one of the first educators in my country, to promote Esports and videogames as more than just an entertainment medium, to show others that we can reach students in their own passions and help them be better people through them, learning with others and developing our dreams together.

What is your favorite game?
