After graduating from a physical education University in Japan, I moved to the United States. After graduating from San Jose State University with a degree in Athletic Training in the Department of Kinesiology, I have worked as a physical education teacher, athletic trainer, and dormitory supervisor at a Japanese high school in New York for about 10 years. I was inspired by the appeal of e-sports when I decided to teach online physical education classes. After returning to Japan, I have joined Third Wave Co., Ltd. to promote the educational value of e-sports. I was involved in the launch of NASEF JAPAN in 2020 and became the esports scholastic director.
Why did you become a NASEF Scholastic Fellow?
I chose to become a NASEF Scholastic Fellow because I would like to use e-sports as an educational tool in Japanese schools to educate the next generation. To do this, I would like to build relationships with Fellows in the U.S. and around the world and become a bridge between Japan and the world.
What is your favorite game?
